3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 cans of Pillsbury Crescent roll dough (homemade pie dough, or pastry dough)
8 oz. of Mountain Dew soda (I used Sprite)
2 Granny Smith apples
Peel, core and slice each apple into 8 slices. Roll out croissant dough and separate following cans directions into 16 (8 in each can) triangle shaped dough peices (or cut your own dough into triangle peices). Grease a 9x13 pan. Roll 1 apple slice into one triangle of dough, starting to roll with the larger end toward the smaller end. Place each rolled combo into your greased pan making two rows of eight.
Then melt butter on stovetop and quickly mix in sugar then vanilla. Quickly remove from heat. You do not want to melt all the sugar and want your mixture granually. Pour mixture of sugar over the apples and dough. Sprinkle tops with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until nicely browned.
